Call it Luck or a Blessing ~ Baby 76

Dear Friends and Family-

Thank you for the get well cards, flowers, food, but most of all the prayers you have been sending out way. Airek is very out of it and only wakes up for moments at a time.

Violet J. Newbie

Violet sat in the hospital room waiting to wake up from the nightmare that was her reality. She questioned everything in her mind from the moment she heard the piercing sound of tires screeching. How scared Airek must have been, and how did the driver feel as he or she drove off? So far there where a few leads on what the vehicle looked like but not leads that found who did it. 

Eirk (Aireks father) and Grandma Dawn (Dawn Turner) where on their way. Lerk (Dawn's boyfriend) was more than happy to watch over Dawn's children so that she could come be with her grandson who was fighting for his life. Erik felt bad that he wasn't around more and kept thinking what if. Violet was full of several different emotions trying to stay calm but also wanting to scream.

Dawn walked into the room slowly... "Hey little man, Grandma Dawn is here!" She walked over and glanced at his face. She gasped at the sight of this small child with marks all over his face. "He looks so innocent." She said walking closer to Violet.

Violet nodded "I know..." she said slightly flustered. She started to get worked up knowing that if things had been different this wouldn't have happened. Putting a huge guilt trip on herself Violet stepped out of the room to meet Erik when he would arrive.

Violet didn't have to wait long till Erik was running in the hospital door. "Violet is he out of surgery? Is our son ok? Can I see him now?" he asked almost out of breath. Violet explained that Airek was out of surgery. He had bleeding in his brain and pressure was built up on the left side of Airek's head.. We don't know if he has any sight effects from the bleeding or swelling so we need him to REALLY wake up and talk to us.

Violet led Erik to the children's ward at the hospital. Erik was happy to see the bright colors and cheerful atmosphere for the children to be around. He held Violet had before walking into room 5422. Sitting next to his son Eric couldn't hold back his emotions. The sight was far worse than he had pictured.

Erik and Violet sat quietly talking back and forth about Airek's condition. The doctors and nurses would stop in often to check on his progress but nothing much had changed. Eric then said the thing that Violet dreaded to think about. "Do you think he will wake up?" Violet answer came slowly. She walked over to her sons bed.

Violet stood looking at Airek and began to cry, "He just has to be ok, I can't loose him. I lost Dawn I can't loose Airek." The tears came streaming down Violet's face. She couldn't stop holding in her emotions caught up to her and now there was no stopping them. Dawn walked over to Violet remembering the pain of loosing her niece Dawn Newbie who had been named after her. She looked over to Eric giving him a scolding scowl. Erik bit his lip and then went on to say. "You know what Vi, you are 100% right. He's going to be fine because he has your strength, wisdom, and fire. He is going to wake up and make some smart ass joke. Just wait and see Violet you are going to be right." Eric kissed Violets cheek and then leaned over his son, "Night little man see you in the morning." Eric walked out quietly. 

Dawn then hugged her dear friend. The two of them have been threw so much together. First threw Dawn Newbie's death. Then Silas (Dawn's son Violets grandson) being autistic, and now Airek fighting for his life. Dawn also lost a son to a house fire. They stood there hugging each other as if time was standing still. Soon after Dawn left.

Violet couldn't bare leaving Airek. She decided to stay the night knowing that Blon was home with the other kids. She also knew that she didn't want to be far away if he did decide to wake up. A.J. came by before visiting hours were over bringing both Ariek and Violet dinner but Airek was still out of it. A.J. has taken all work matter's into his hands with out taking a single problem to Violet. He wanted to make sure she didn't have to worry about anything. With orders coming in like wild flowers it was putting more hours in A.J.'s work day and less hours to be with Violet. He didn't mind doing it though.

The next morning...

Nothing had changed over night. Abe and Alick wanted to see Airek before going to school so their dad brought them. Violet was in the bathroom when they visited but knew they where coming. The boys had not seen their brother till now. They didn't stay long before heading to school. Violet was doing her hair when she heard heard something.

"Mommy?... Mommy?..." Violet went running to his side. "Yes dear I'm right here." She pushed the button for the nurses to come in.  "MOMMMY?..." Airek's voice was pained and faint but grew with power. "Sweetie mommy is here, can you hear me?" Violet leaned in closer to Airek but then the room was filled with medical personnel. They started flashing lights in his eyes, asking him questions, and checking his ears. They drew some blood all with in seconds of getting into the room. Violet stood by watching as the team worked on Airek. He started talking in short sentences. He even asked if Violet was still there. 

Violet walked up to him "Yes handsome I'm still here. She touched his forehead. Dr. Zeam watched as Violet comforted her son. He then asked her to come talk to him. Violet kissed Airek, "I will be right back. Dr. Zeem wants to talk to me ok?" Violet walked way not looking away form Airek. 

Miss Newbie, your son has had some damage from the accident. He is now blind and deaf on his right side. He also has limited mobility and his balance will be off. We need him to start walking around the room and even start physical therapy as soon as possible. He will need to remain in the hospital for another week or so but he will be ok. 

Violet hugged Dr. Zeam and then saw that Airek was getting up out of bed she ran to his side. 

Airek fell softly into Violet's arms. A single tear fell down Violet's cheek as Airek said, "Mommy I love you too. I heard you talking to me. I wanted to say I love you back and now I'm able to." Airek's words where ringing like music in Violet's ears. Erik came in and was over joyed to see his son was up. He joined in on the hug and then the 3 of them talked about Airek's recovery with Dr. Zeem.

Time has passed...

Knowing that Airek had to remain in the hospital Violet was still an important role in his recovery. She was there everyday working with him. She would come by and help him eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. She would also walk with him in the room and in the hospital halls. She was so happy to see Airek gain mobility over only a weeks time. 

Erik would stop by every other night to read, and do homework with Airek so he didn't fall behind in school. The team work the Violet and Erik put into Airek was as if they where a married couple. They had a strong relationship with not only each other but with their kids. Violet was so thankful for Erik, A.J. and Blon's help threw the past week.

Airek's recovery was textbook and after TWO long weeks of waiting he was finally ready to go home. Violet was so happy to bring him home but he was still bruised and a tad weak. He was also behind his brother's when comparing his development. Violet didn't worry about that much knowing that in time he would catch up. 

Abe and Alick where over joyed by the news of their brother returning home. They helped get him ready to come home by packing his things and calling the nurse to disconnect a few of the machine's he was on. They couldn't wait for their brother to age up and go to school with them. "Things will FINALLY be normal again." Abe said while throwing several things into a bag to take home. "Yeah I know its great right?" Alick said texting his girl friend letting her know he was going to be home later.

Standing up Airek went from a frail child to a quiet teenager. He didn't say much and admired a few things he hadn't noticed before. Like the bulletin board that had several get well notes, stats, and daily goals for him. Violet started taking them down and told Airek, "I will put these away for you." She hugged him again as if she hadn't hugged him in years. Abe and Alick could tell that their brother had changed. 

Now Airek has glass eye so he didn't have to wear an eye patch. He didn't need a hearing aid but did like to listen to music still. Its one of the things that helped threw the last two weeks in a hospital. Coming home wasn't easy but every one managed to make it without any trouble. Airek had his eyes closed when passing the place he got hit. Remembering the moment he was hit sent chills up his spine. 

Violet was SO HAPPY to finally have this picture! She loved how it turned out. 

Airek aged up well and was feeling better. He still had a bit of bruising that would soon go away. He also kept to himself and didn't like to make a big deal about what had happened to him.

Abe and Alick where quite handsome and they where not shy about showing it off. Alick already has a girl friend and they spend quite a bit of time together. She can't wait to meet the brother she has heard so much about but never seen. Abe has no girl friend but LOVES playing the field. He is with a different girl all the time but he's truly thinking that ONE of them with something worth a bit more than just friends.

(Isabelle Alick's Girl Friend)

Airek, Abe, and Alick decided to take Mike and Mario to the moves. It was a cute kids show playing and they met up with some girls to work on Airek getting out of the shell he has put himself in. When Isabelle (Alick's girl friend) walked up poor Airek had no clue. He looked at her in wonder of how so much beauty could be held in one single person. Just as he was about to walk up to her Alick beat him to her side and introduced her as his girl friend. Poor Airek was crushed. He had no clue that the girls he was day dreaming about for a good minute was his brother's girl friend.

"oh my Kent you are growing more and more everyday," Violet held her 75th baby closely talking to him. It was just the two of them in the house. She was a little worried letting Airek go out but the older boys reminded her that living in fear will only hold you back from living. Violet felt those words where true and allowed them to go as long as they checked in every hour to inform her of what was going on. 

A.J. stopped by to work on a few things but hardly bothered Violet. She wished that they could spend time together but they had several house requests and a few problems at The Hot Spot so romance was put on the back burner for the moment.

 The connection between Isabelle and Airek didn't stop there. Isabelle was very interested in hearing about Airek's accident and discussing his recovery. You see Isabelle would like to go into the medical field and figured it would be really neat to know more about Airek's case. Instead of watching the movie the two of them talked and talked. Alick was upset. He didn't think it was fair that his brother who hasn't been around is flirting with his girl friend. "Who does he think he is?" Alick asked himself while watching them and eating the popcorn. It wasn't the movie he was interested in watching.

"Do the happy dance Mike!" Violet cheered on BOTH boys as they grew into their child stage of life. Both Mario and Mike where excited about being kids. They loved watching people fished and they decided that was going to be the first thing they did as children. Violet loved the idea and felt that it was a great perk living on the beach having the ocean to fish in at ANY time of day.

 Mike (Michael) is a sweet boy who looks just like his dad. Violet loves the way he combs his hair and the way he laughs. It makes her smile. He grew up and received the Angler trait and that was PERFECT since he wanted to go fishing. He also stutters a bit and so Violet is setting him up with a speech therapist to help him out with that. Its great because his S.T. will be able to do his therapy with Mike at school.

 Mario has a few of his dad's features but its hard to see the "Violet" in him. He kinda looks like Isaiah did but she had most of Joe's features. Now that's a name we don't mention often. but back to Mario... He's a sweet boy who loves to joke around and make people laugh. He can be quite serious and you wonder if he's playing around or upset. He too grew up and received the Angler trait.

 Getting home from the movies Alick and Airek hardly said a word to each other. Finally Airek spoke up and said something to his brother.


Airek- What is wrong with you man? We talked during the movie... is that what put the sick up your ass. You should pull it out before you get a splinter.
Alick- You fuck up... You are... I can't hardly... (he paced back and forth trying to stay calm but it was to late) YOU have crossed a boundary. Isabelle is MINE I found her first and I'm not ready to let her go.
Airek- WOW you act like she's property. I was just talking to her. I'm sure that once she see's me take this out (points to glass eye) she will be reminded of YOU and run back to your arms. 
Alick- Why would your glass eye remind her of me?
Airek- because when I take it out its an empty hole.


The two boys went back and forth till finally Violet pulled them apart.
ENOUGH BOYS!" She shouted louder than she expected. She then had the two of them sleep in different rooms for the night. "we will handle this in the morning." Violet said in a stern tone.

Violet then went in to see that Kent wasn't a baby anymore. He looked SO much like his dad and got his beautiful eyes. Violet tickled him and started potty training and teaching him to walk, but it was getting late and little Kent needed his sleep.

Violet felt nauseas and couldn't think why. She then remembered that the night before Airek was going to be home she went out with Ellio (Airek's Doctor) and they had a few drinks. They were talking about how much he wished he had kids so Violet and him talked about the challenge. At the end of the night both where 100% about him being in the challenge.


LOOKING BACK...

 Ellio Kiestore is the specialist who operated on Airek. He and Violet had been spending lots of time together discussing Aireks case. They grew close and started to express personal wants and needs into their conversations. Ellio is 40 and single. He was married for 16 years but his wife died of cancer. He decided to focus on medicine and not starting over again. 

 Getting along Violet decided to then ask if he wanted to have a baby with her. Ellio was more than happy to and couldn't wait to see his son or daughter!

 Violet explained the rules...


Present Day:

After taking a nap while Kent rested Violet was rejuvenated and ready to take on the rest of the day. She looked down and saw a bigger belly than "normally" at this point. She figured a doctors appointment is a good idea. She also had an appointment with a gentleman who needed help designing the inside of a house for a new family moving to town. The gentleman was Fred to be honest Violet couldn't wait to see him. She called a baby sitter and realized that the boys took her car to school so she had to borrow A.J.'s.

 Flora met me at the hospital in case they had to do tests and I wouldn't be able to drive. The Dr. was happy to announce that the baby was fine just a little bigger than an average baby at this gestation. He figured I would have the baby sooner than later. Violet asked if the baby was a boy or girl but the little nugget was being shy and didn't want to show anyone. 

 Violet pulled up to the house and it was pretty small. It had SO much potential she got excited thinking about what all she could do to fix it up for this new family. Fred was waiting for her and when she got out he forgot to be discrete and yelled out "HI MOM!"

 He then brought Violet into the house and said THIS is where it needs help... Violet stood in shock. She could see why it was having a hard time selling and why he needed help before presenting it to this family. Violet got busy taking pictures, taking notes, and measuring different spaces. Fred watched closely seeing him mom in action was fascinating.

Having a hard time staying on her feet Violet decided to take a small break and catch up with her son. But after turning on the TV she froze. 


Fred- Mom you will get your "White Wedding" someday.
Violet trying not to get emotional- A.J. has a life and he doesn't need to wait around for me.
Fred- Mom that was Joe. I know that A.J. is different he's a great guy and...(Fred stopped himself)
Violet- What are you talking about AND? What do you know that I don't?
Fred- Mom you will know soon I PROMISE.


Violet shrugged it off and went back to watching the wedding on T.V. Looking at the time the day had FLOWN by. She needed to get home quickly before...

 "Isabelle I think he knows (PAUSE) Yes he's acting really weird around me and he's"  CLICK Alick came up behind Airek FURIOUS at his brother...

Alick- HOW DARE YOU KISS HER.
Airek- She leaned in and I... I... I like her and couldn't see why kissing her back would be SO HORRIBLE. Anyway I saw you and Lillian in the janitors closet AGAIN. Does mom know what you are doing?
Alick- DON'T YOU DARE tell mom. I'm having fun and so what if I have more than one girl I woo hoo with. Its not a big deal.


Violet stood in the doorway listening to everything being said. "WOO HOOING AT 17?" Violet interrupted the boys argument to have her own.


Violet then demanded Alick call ALL of the girls he's woo hooed with and tell them about the other girls as WELL as tell their parents what you have been doing during "study hall". Alick was in shock with his mom's reaction and left quickly but Violet followed close behind him she wasn't letting this slide.

 After all the 3 calls where made Violet talked to Alick about his actions. He admitted that he liked the attention and like that girls where interested in him. He was very sure to say that he never woo hooed with Isabelle but tried to and she would always say no to him. He even tried to use the tragic accident of what happened to Airek to get closer to her. 

 Alick and Mario where getting closer and Violet found it important that Alick explain to Mario that his actions where NOT to be followed.

 Good morning baby bump and tub that needs upgraded! Violet got busy she was very pregnant and wanted to take and nice long bath before her day would start BUT like always life takes different turns and you can't control what all happens. Violet has been getting texts and e-mails from Joe. He would like her to build a house for him since he's leaving Kellae. It was a messy divorce and he's not talking to her AT ALL. He has even expressed to Violet that he wasn't thinking when he left her for Kellae and would like a second chance. Violet wasn't sure how to tell A.J. 

 While practicing her music Violet was scared by A.J. who wanted to share some good news. Violet stopped him before he could say anything. "I need to tell you something. I have an interior decorating gig with my son Fred. He asked me to help him out I said yes but there is nothing for you to do in this job. Are you ok with that?" Violet questioned. "THAT'S GREAT BARBIE!" he responded happily. He was excited to hear the details. He then said "O.K. My turn, I've been given this opportunity to travel to FRANCE to take classes on how to do more "trendy" architecture with houses. I'm so excited but might be gone for awhile BUT when I get back we can finish our plans and move in together!" He said  holding Violets hands.

Violet- I'm REALLY going to miss you
A.J.- I'm going to miss you too Barbie BUT I have a surprise for you when I get back!!!
Violet got goose bumps thinking of what he had up his sleeve. She loved how A.J. was everything Joe wasn't but she did have a small voice in her head whispering "Violet you still love Joe... you can't have them both"


A.J. would be leaving this weekend and so he said his good byes on Friday so he could pack. He couldn't wait to travel but wished Violet was able to go with him. 

 But during his good byes some one wanted to make sure they had a chance to meet A.J. Violet's contractions started and where fast and furious. She had a feeling the labor would be short and sweet. A.J. freaked out he wasn't sure what to do. 

 Back labor was giving Violet some problems AND with Kent crying because he wanted his bath didn't make labor quiet and smooth like Violet tries to always have. "SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE KENT A BATH!" Violet yelled out for ANYONE who was listening. Abe was the first to react and took his brother into the bathroom. 

With the bath situation taken care of Violet was able to finish her labor without a screaming toddler. A.J. was still freaking out and FINALLY...

 Glas Riley Newbie

10lb 1oz 21.5 inches

BABY 76

Violet admired her son this was her 7th son in a row and boy was he a cutie. He smiles in his sleep and has a sweet coo that Violet had ever heard. His name Glas is the Irish word for green. Since this little man was born on St. Patties day Violet thought it was a neat way to celebrate. Violet put little Glas into his crib and started getting out everyone's outfits for their St. Patrick's Day family photo. 

Violet made sure everyone was wearing green (except for baby Glas) so that they wouldn't get pinched. Violet loves having all boys but wonders when or IF she will have a girl again. A.J. took the pictures since he didn't have any green on he knew that Violet would pinch him. After the family photo was taken the kids split their separate ways. Airek and Alick had finished fighting over Isabelle and Alick came to realize that Isabelle and Airek really liked each other. He knew that he was only attracted to her for what he wanted from her. 


There was no one found with who hit Airek but this was found on the door step...


Airek- I'm so sorry that I hit you. I was texting while driving and wasn't paying attention. I would turn myself in but I'm to scared but since I won't be punished for what I did I'm going to sign Oprah's No Phone Zone pledge and also have all my friends, family, and TOWN sign it. I hope that you are ok and here is a check for $10,000 for any pain and suffering I put you through. I know its not much but its all my savings.

Violet and Airek took the letter to the cops but they found no prints on it. They all decided to let it go. What was done was done.

Standing in the hallway while watching A.J. walk away Violet felt guilty that she didn't tell him about Joe. She kept telling herself it was harmless and nothing was going to come out of it other than a bit of extra cash. She was exited to see Joe again but kept thinking of poor Sally and what he put her threw. What kind of mom forgives a man after doing such a HORRIBLE thing to her daughter. Violet went back and forth and finally decided that she would take on his project. She didn't need to tell A.J. or anyone else that she's doing it. 

Texting while driving is a SERIOUS thing and there are so many deaths caused from it. I hope that everyone understands that when you text and drive you not only put yourself in danger you put others in danger. In memory of a local boy who was killed just while getting his mail by a distracted teen driver.


I hope you enjoyed my post. I've been coming up with ideas for future posts so forgive me if you are confused EVERYTHING will come together in the end. I can't wait to see how everything turns out. PLEASE leave comments below and show some LOVE!!!
