Before I get started I want to give a BIG thank you to Dawn Turner for gifting me with simspoints. I feel bad I didn't see this sooner and waited THIS LONG but I honestly looked right past that e-mail and it wasn't till she brought it to my attention that I realized I had them. You are truly a great friend and I love and support your blog! Thank girl I love you!
Thank you Ashby!
For the past weeks Violet has been trying to settle into life after her challenge. She is happy to report that the tumor was not cancerous and she will have to go back once a month for a year to have scans to make sure the tumor stays gone. She is relieved and happy to have that over and behind them for now. But life has yet more adventures to add to her journey of life. A.J. is set on them not changing the wedding date and so Violet is plugging away with only 2 months left to plan trying to get everything done...
"Look Wisdom, here comes Mrs. Grabby Hand!" Violet said getting Wisdom excited. It had been awhile since Violet felt so good, with energy, life, and freedom. Violet's hair was beginning to grow back in but was still short so she decided to add some extensions to it so that she didn't have to go through the "odd stage" of hair growing back in. Wisdom and Violet played many games till the sound of chimes filled the room. Wisdom got excited and started to wiggle out of Violet's arms, "Night, night time mommy," Wisdom insisted.
Violet turned on the music box, said their prayer and headed out of the room. A.J. stood there looking at her as if he wanted something. "WHAT?" Violet asked in a defensive way. " I want to talk to you about something but it should wait till morning." he answered opening the door to the bedroom. Violet rolled her eyes and walked through. Trying to get closer to Violet to have a little kiss or more A.J. cuddled in and rolled Violet to her back. This annoyed Violet, "A.J. not till we are married. I know I gave in with Wisdom but do you really want me to have all our kids now and not when we are married?" A.J. wasn't going to let down that easy and slowly slipped Violet's strap off her shoulder and leaned in to kiss it. "ASHLEY!" Violet pulled her strap back up and jumped out of bed.
A.J. didn't realize how serious Violet was and stood up when Violet wiped a tear from her cheek. "Barbie, what is really wrong? Its like you don't want to be with me or something. Is that the case?" He asked putting his pants on. Violet shook her head and embraced A.J. "I guess I don't know what I'm thinking. I just don't want to feel forced to age Wisdom and to have more kids. Just because I have 101 kids doesn't mean I have to have more. " Violet stopped herself from saying anything more. She wasn't sure she would come across the right way and she didn't want A.J. to think they wouldn't have more kids even though that was an option Violet was fine with.
Violet could hardly sleep next to A.J. knowing he wanted something she wasn't sure she would ever be willing to give him. She questioned even getting married knowing that if after marriage his pestering became more than Violet could handle she might not be able to handle it. When Violet's clock showed 5:57am she knew that Wisdom would be waking up soon. She didn't bother to wake A.J. and just started to get ready for her day.
But A.J. was well aware that Violet was missing and he got up shortly after her so they could talk before Wisdom was awake. "Violet, I still want to talk to you about a few things." A.J. said with a ting of hesitation. "A.J. you don't have to act weird around me. We had a little argument and I'm sure we will be able to talk more about it today but first I need my morning beverage to make me not so crabby for when Wisdom wakes up." Violet got her drink and sat down at the table. A.J. didn't want to wait to long so he grabbed a cup and sat down.
A.J thought it would be best if he started with the wedding and then talked about kids...
A.J.- So how is the wedding planning coming? Need any help?
Violet- Well, I wanted to be married in the same church as my parents but after calling the pastor there it burned down a few months back. So I'm to square 1 there. Della suggested an outdoor wedding but I have a feeling it will be to hot since we are getting married in August.
A.J.- Well we could check out some local venues like the art museum.
Violet- Yes, but there isn't allot of space at the art museum. My bridal party is up to 7 now and the guest list isn't getting any smaller.
A.J.- Let me know at anytime with what I can do to make this easier on you.
Violet looked up as if to say that all you want to talk about but after seeing A.J. take a big gulp of hot espresso she had a feeling there was more.

A.J.- Barbie, I also wanted to talk about kids. I know that you say you don't want them now but think of Wisdom. She deserves to have a normal family setting and with that it could include 1-2 siblings.
Violet- WAIT... are you telling me that we aren't a family until we have more kids? We are a family and we are happy, well at least I thought we where. Wisdom doesn't know any better. She has 99 half siblings do they count or is the fact I've forgotten most of them means everyone else needs to forget them too?
A.J.- Violet you are over reacting... I'm just saying you are taking this the wrong way. I love Wisdom, I love you, and I love the 99 kids you had with other men. I'm not saying that we aren't a family but damn it Vi you know that I could never imagine life without you or the kids. Why would you think that I don't consider us a family I'm just saying that I want to have more kids and why not sooner than later? Why can't we have kids before we are married?
Violet- BECAUSE I WANT 1 THING TO GO AS PLANNED IN MY LIFE!
Violet stood up and put her cup in the sink. A.J. went to take her and but she brushed him off quickly. "Why can't you just let it go for now?" Violet asked A.J. walking past him. She didn't want to be angry but at the same time he wouldn't let it go. Violet needed to get out but where to go? Soon Ashby texted and was on her way over with Adabelle.
AUTHORS NOTE: Adabelle is a baby Ashby had in my game and is not one that will be mentioned in her blogs. But in my blog she will be considered Ashby and Asher's daughter.
Ashby showed up and when A.J. greeted her she walked right past him as if knowing him and Violet just had an argument. Surprised that Asher wasn't with her A.J asked "Did you loose my brother?" Ashby lowered her shades and looked at A.J with her glowing vampire eyes, "He will be along shortly." and then put her shades back up and turned to Violet who was trying to get an energy filled Wisdom her breakfast.
Violet and Ashby went to the nursery. Violet knew that the sun was bothering Ashby's skin and wanted to make her comfortable. "Everything ok?" Violet asked Asbhy knowing things where weighing heavy on her. "I'm just not sure I want to have more kids. I love the ones I have and I love that Asher loves me but I still feel like he's not seeing things from my point of view." Ashby stated "Join the club, A.J is insisting we have more kids and I'm questioning why I would even consider that now knowing he is not able to hold back his woo hoo urges till we are married." The two girls where talking back and forth venting about the men in their lives when they heard the front door open and a familiar voice followed it. "Asher's here now!" Ashby told Violet picking Adabelle up. "Vi, is there anywhere we can talk but keep me out of the sun?" Violet thought and then said "SURE! I have a little outdoor deck that I have a shade thing that I can put over it. We will be outside but it will be like its night time!" Ashby followed Violet to the area and they didn't look or say a word to the boys while they talked in a low whisper.
"I can't get over how emotional Violet is. You would think she's pregnant or something." A.J began to tell his brother and best friend after the girls where outside. "SHHH, are these window's sound proof? They might hear you." Asher said leaning back to look out the door. "Yes, we are fine they can't hear us. But if we wanted to we could hear them!" A.J said perking up. "How?" questioned Asher. A.J pulled out the baby monitor and both of them laughed. "Well since she's acting like she's pregnant is there any way she could be?" Asher asked his brother now feeling comfortable to speak louder than a whisper. "No, and I have no clue if I will ever see her pregnant again. She's thinking about not having more kids." A.J said with disappointment in his voice. "Oh man bro that stinks. Ashby is saying the same thing. She just had Lockland and before that she had Taloria and Addison but her having Taloria and Addison wasn't easy. She didn't really want to have more kids after lose. I'm understanding to a point but why not have kids with your husband?" A.J. and Asher where on the same page and venting back and forth about their problems when A.J had an idea. "Well since we can't get into the girl's heads by asking lets listen in." He held up the baby monitor and the two grown men looked at each other. In wonder with what was being said outside.

"Vi I just wish there was a way we could explain to these men how we feel with out them saying we are over reacting, or that we are not listening to them." Ashby said getting excited for Wisdom on her pink horse. "I know, I love A.J. and I love that he wants to be with me despite my past but doesn't he realize I've been with so many men that having time with out being pregnant is something I've never had. Right now if I was still doing the challenge I would be trying to find a dad to get pregnant. So right now I DON'T want to be pregnant and maybe I was Wisdom out of the house before I have more kids." Violet set Adabelle in the sandbox and Wisdom wanted to join her.

The girls vented more about men, more kids, and enjoyed watching the girls play. Violet then brought up the wedding, "oh I want to do something with you and Della since you are both my main girls in this shin dig. We should do a spa day or something. Relax, escape married life, and get pampered." Ashby was quick to agree and the girls planned for tomorrow night. Ashby had another surprise for Violet and felt that it would tie in perfectly with getting pampered. "Vi, these men are lucky we love them." Ashby said with a smile noticing the baby monitor but didn't bother telling Violet. "Yes, they are but even more important we are lucky these men love us!" They got the girls and headed back inside.
With one quick phone call to Della and a small rearranging of plans Ashby and Violet handed the Wisdom and Adabelle to the boys and headed out to the spa. Della was visiting her daughter who recently moved to Sunset Valley and made plans to meet Violet and Ashby at the spa.
"This is what the Dr. ordered, huh ladies?" Violet asked enjoying her massage. Both girls agreed and Della was eager to hear about the wedding plans. Violet was happy to share that there was NOTHING planned just yet. She needed a dress first to base the wedding around. Della went went to say "Oh well that won't be a problem," but was quickly quieted by Ashby and Della began to laugh realizing Violet had no clue what was going to happen after they left the spa.
After a good 2-3 hours of being pampered from head to toe the girls where ready to head back to reality when Ashby and Della exposed their secrets with Violet. "Well you are not going home just yet Vi," Della said fixing her hair clip. Violet questioned her "well where else would we go?" Ashby and Della smiled and said, "Dress shopping!" Violet was shocked. She had no idea that they where going to surprise her with a trip to a bridal boutique to go dress shopping. But Ashby and Della where not telling Violet everything just yet. The drive to the bridal boutique was full of excitement. The 3 girls where talking about all the details such as they where going to have a private fitting since Violet is a 5 star celebrity and they didn't want paparazzi getting in there and spoiling all the good surprises. They also where happy to tell Violet that her entire bridal party would be there as well. This moved Violet to tears. Everyone was putting their lives, challenges, and afternoon aside to spend time with her and the dress shopping. Violet started to get butterflies when they pulled up to the bridal boutique and saw all her friends outside waiting for the bride to arrive.

Everyone got seated and where ready for Violet to get started on trying on dresses. The bridal consultant would like her identity kept secret so for now her name is Kate. Katie had Violet stand on the pedestal and describe in 1 word what she wanted to be on her wedding day and this puzzled Violet. It was a thought that had never crossed her mind. While looking at herself she said "Breathtaking" Kate nodded her head and got Violet's measurements and headed back to see what she could find. They had several "traditional" dresses and she knew Violet would look stunning in them but then thought of some other unique ones. Violet tried on a total of... well lets just say she tried on more dresses than she expected. But each bridesmaid pictured her in something different and Violet was willing to try them all.

Yes, as you can see both Kate and Violet got quite the work out with all these dresses. Violet didn't like some of the dresses even though she loved the designers. Violet summed down the dresses she liked but there was 1 that actually brought tears to her eyes but the majority of the bridal party where fans of it. Violet didn't want them to see her cry and so she decided to put on the others that they did like one more time hoping one would grow on her.
Violet had so much fun posing in the different dresses. This one was a top contender. Violet loved it as well but felt the top looked like it should go with a different bottom. The flowers where pretty but maybe with a different top. It was hands down that this one wasn't going to make the cut in Violets eyes and after picking it apart Violet's friends agreed with her opinion.
"Violet, this is stunning, it has the bit of blue you wanted in it and you look fabulous in it. Not just anyone can look good in a dress like this." Where comments made by several of her friends. Violet Started to pick this dress apart comparing it to the one she had in mind when a very vocal friend spoke up saying, "Violet, seriously you want our opinion and we are giving it. If you don't like it then move on already." Violet didn't want to get upset and Ashby noticed the frustration on Violet's face. Ashby and the other friend talked and it was hard for Violet's friend to admit she was not understanding why Violet wasn't more positive. After expressing feelings everyone was ok and ready to move on.
This dress had nothing really wrong with it. Violet loved it from head to toe but it's such a common wedding dress all of her friends and her agreed she would just look like another bride. When Kate said she had another dress that was just shipped in that day and had not been worn by anyone yet. Violet kept her original first love in her mind when putting on this NEW dress. The girls waited on the edge of their seats wondering what this mysterious dress would look like.
It was fun, flirty, and even unique but Violet didn't feel "breathtaking" in it. With all her friends head over heals for this dress Violet began to cry and told her friends she can't do this. She ran to the dressing room and Ashby was quick to follow her. Kate asked the other girls to stay put and that she would talk to Violet and figure out what's going on. She walked in to Violet getting dressed and ready to leave. Ashby then stopped Violet before leaving.
"Vi, this is your day. We are all here because we love you. We have seen you grow and mature into the amazing mom, friend, and future wife you are today. You have over come more than your fair share of heart ships. The last thing we want is you to have a wedding that you look back and say what if. I want you to go get in the dress that we both know you love. I saw you cry and it made me cry. I knew your heart was set on it and after seeing it on you again in the RIGHT color everyone else will see what we see and if they don't they will lie and say they love it." Ashby leaned in and hugged Violet.
Kate walked up slowly and asked "are you going to call it a night or try this again?" Violet shook her head no. "I'm not going home and I want to put my wedding dress back on. Kate got the dress Violet liked and in the correct colors. Violet's friends all waited as impatient as could be. Violet walked out and again a tear fell from her eye. She knew this was the one.
Violet looked amazing, she could hardly believe that all the girl did love her dress and quickly put on the bridesmaid dresses Violet pictured with her dress. In that moment the whole wedding started to fall into place. Violet had her bridal party, her dress, and her theme. Violet was more than ready to get into full swing of WEDDING PLANNING!!!
Authors Note: With so many limited options for decorations, parties, and interactions the look of "copying" is very real but I assure you that I'm not copying. I'm simply using what the game gives me and what I have purchased to give me options for her wedding. I wanted to wait till after generations was released to have Violet married for a reason. I hope you all understand this and I look forward to seeing out everything turns out. I have a plan but you know how sims can be and do things on their own.
